CDC announces codes for COVID-19-related conditions
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has announced six new ICD-10-CM codes to track conditions related to COVID-19. The new codes are intended to track: COVID-19 screenings; potential exposure to COVID-19; personal history of COVID-19; multi-system inflammatory syndrome; other systemic involvement of connective tissue; and pneumonia due to COVID-19. This month, the National Institutes of Health updated its COVID-19 guidance on “Therapeutic Management of Patients with COVID-19.”
Policy, payment, and quality changes to Medicare Physician Fee Schedule for 2021
This month, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services issued a final rule that includes updates on policy changes for Medicare payments under the Physician Fee Schedule, and other Medicare Part B issues, on or after January 1, 2021. Stop the Spread Kansas
As we outlined in our previous update, the Stop the Spread Kansas campaign urges Kansans to do their part in slowing the rate of COVID-19 infections across the state. The website, TV, radio, digital, and social media campaign started late last month. Three ads are currently airing, with likely two or more to come, including a provider-focused ad and a celebrity spokesperson ad.
